Here you will find some simple techniques for all things crafty!
Start with a basic stamped image
Lay down your darkest color first. This will be where you want the darkest shading.
With a medium shade, overlap your colors.
Lay down your first layer with your lightest color.
Finish with a second layer of your lightest color.
Cut out image using "thinlits". Sponge middle of each leaf with green ink using a dauber. Sponge the outside of each leaf with purple ink.
This is how we will layer it.
(It is not assembled yet)
Apply Pop Dots to the bottom 3 layers,
the rest of the layers will be glued.
Curl leaves as you build the succulent.
Below is what the layers will look like with the Pop Dots. The rest of the layers will use glue only. (No Pop Dots)
Add a pearl to the middle of the succulent. Below is the finished product. The first has the leaves curled down. The second has the leaves curled up.
Here are some different ones that I have done using this technique.
First, start by punching out all base colors (birds and wings).
Cut out along dotted lines.
Here is what I have after cutting out the pieces for my 3 birds.
Assemble birds and use Pop-Dots to "pop-up" wings. Add "bling" or pearls for eyes.
